Thirty years ago, when I first stepped off the ferry and saw downtown Juneau, I felt like I was stepping back in time. Today a lot of that feeling still remains. Because much of downtown Juneau is a National Historic District, Juneau is an interesting and charming mix of history and modernity”

Tour Juneau in the comfort of your own private vehicle.
Avoid the crowds of a bus based herd tour.
Come join us for a Juneau tour in one of  our comfortable vehicles. Your driver is a long-time Juneau resident, knowledgeable about Juneau, her history and attractions. We’ll take a tour of the downtown historic section, while your guide regales you with stories of old Juneau.
2.5 miles from downtown we’ll stop at the Macaulay Salmon Hatchery, which provides amazing views of the spectacle of salmon migration, (mid-June through September) and a fascinating look at hatchery operations (always). Inside the facility you’ll find museum-like interpretive displays, beautiful saltwater aquariums, and a mini-market place-The Salmon Shop, featuring local salmon products and novelties.

Then it’s out to the giant ice cube, Juneau’s drive-up
Mendenhall Glacier, the most  visited attraction  in Alaska .  Walk out to the waterfall, visit the interpretive center or just feast your
eyes on Nature’s wonder
.

Our last stop will be on Douglas Island
where you can get a picture perfect shot
of your cruise ship with Juneau in the background. (There’s a reason Juneau is called the most beautiful state capital in America.)

Then it’s back to your cruise ship, or maybe you’d prefer to stop at the
Alaska State Museum (it’s wonderful), or the “world famous” Red Dog Saloon.Would you prefer to shop your way down Franklin Street? It’s your choice. We’ll drop you where you want.

Juneau Tour sights
Travel up Basin Road to the Last Chance Basin where Joe Juneau and Richard Harris found the gold that lead to the first Alaska Gold Rush  and the founding of Juneau. (This is one of a few places we'll take you that the big tour buses can't go.)
